‘PROSTATE CANCER, MEETING WITH UROLOGISTS AT THE CENACOLO HOTEL IN ASSISI

‘Prostate cancer, experience vs. evidence’ was the topic of discussion during the congress course which took place at Hotel Cenacolo, Assisi, on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th June. Both days, which also saw the unconditioned contribution of S&R Farmaceutici, were attended by urologists, oncologists, radiotherapy and diagnostic radiology specialists, who discussed and were brought up to date on topics, guidelines and procedures for the treatment of patients faced with a benign or malign tumour diagnosis. The congress was chaired by Ettore Mearini, tenured professor of urology at the Department of surgical and biomedical sciences at the University of Perugia and director of the complex mini-invasive urological surgery facility of the Perugia and Terni hospitals. Around 40 speakers from all over Italy came to the city of Saint Francis to discuss their experience, including Vincenzo Mirone, director of the Urology school of specialisation of the Federico II University in Naples.
